Langtang Tamang Heritage Trek was developed by the Tourism for Rural Poverty Alleviation Program under the United Nations Development Project (UNDP). Tamang Heritage trek exposes the blend of wonderful Himalayan adventures and warm Himalayan culture. Tamang Heritage Trek isn’t only meant to explore the rich cultural snippets of Tamang people but also the magic that nature offers, the history that ancient Buddhist monasteries offer and also the splendor to those beautiful rhododendrons and bamboo forests, the majesty of ever-flowing waterfalls the tranquility of several sacred lakes the glory of witnessing snow-covered peaks all around and lots of more. In Tamang Heritage Trek, you’ll enjoy a natural hot bath within the heading hot –water spring at Tatopani before reaching Nagthali where the stay could be a unique experience. Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m) Tribhuvan International
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, we offer you pick up facility from the airport and manage your stay at the most comfortable hotel in the city. You get to meet the team of trekkers and together we prepare for the trek.

Day 2: Sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley (1,350m)
Today would be the most exhilarating day where you will be introduced to the most pious Hindu and Buddhist religious place that is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage sites and elucidates you to the entire mysticism over its existence Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath stupa, Patan Durbar Square, and Swayambhunath stupa.

Day 3: Drive Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,400m)
We leave Kathmandu in the morning for Syabrubesi, a village that is also the starting point for treks into the Langtang valley. Our journey will be on a winding road through frequent switchbacks. On a clear day, we get to enjoy outstanding views of Manaslu, Annapurna, and Ganesh Himal. Our trek for today ends with a descent into the small village of Syabrubesi. Stay overnight at Syabrubesi.

Day 4: Syabrubesi to Gatlang Village (2,238m)
Our trek begins today with the walk starting from Syabrubesi. From there we catch the uphill trail. The trail leads us to a high point from where we can have a great view of Ganesh Himal, Goljang valley, and Gosaikunda range. Starting with here, we stroll up towards Gatlang following the trail accompanied by Chortens, Mani walls, and a small settlement. After walking for about 3 hours we finally reach a beautiful Tamang village of Gatlang. The remaining day is spent exploring the village. Stay overnight at Gatlang.

Day 5: Gatlang to Tatopani/Hotspring (2,610m)
We start our trek early leaving Gatlang behind. We take a downhill trail towards Thangbuchet. We then ascend for a while and cross the suspension bridge above Chilime River. From here it is an uphill climb to Tatopani (hot water/hot spring). There are several natural hot water springs at this place. We will roam around for a while and spend the night at Tatopani.

Day 6: Tatopani to Thuman (2,300m) via Nagthali viewpoint (3,165m)
The trek will start in the morning with a walk through the dense forest area. We shortly reach a grassland area with beautiful scenery around. We can also see the Himalayan range from there. We again move ahead and head toward Brimdang village. The village highly comprises of the Tamang population. Then the trail takes the uphill turn and we walk until reaching Nagthali hill. The view from the top is magnificent and we spent some time enjoying the beauty around and taking pictures. After that, we start the downhill walk and continue until reaching the Thuman village. Stay Overnight at Thuman.

Day 7: Thuman to Briddim (2,230m)
We start our trek leaving Thuman behind. We walk downhill past the suspension bridge over the Bhote Koshi River. From here, the trail ascends until we reach Briddim. Briddim is a Tibetan Buddhist Village. We roam around the village and visit the monastery over there. The village is mostly inhabited by people of Tibetan origin. Briddim, in fact, resembles a typical Tibetan village on this side of Tibet. Stay overnight at Briddim.

Day 8: Briddim To Syabrubesi (1,400m)
Today is the last day of our trek that will come to an end at Syabrubesi. The trail descends until we reach Syabrubesi. After we reach, we take rest and head back to Kathmandu. Stay overnight at Syabrubesi.

Day 9: Drive back to Kathmandu (1,350m)
Today, we leave Syabrubesi in the morning for Kathmandu. A bus ride will take around 7 hours through curvy roads of hilly terrain with a couple of breaks in between for snacks and lunch. There will be a farewell dinner (Nepali Food) to celebrate the successful completion of our journey. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 10: Final Departure
Your wonderful adventure in Nepal comes to an end today. We wish you all the best. A representative from Aarohi Holiday Pvt Ltd will take you to the airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight.

  • We will have to walk around 6 to 8 hours per day/ 10 to 12 km per day more or less. We will have our breakfast at the tea house and begin our trekking as in the middle of long trekking we will have our lunch at the tea house and after some time we will start the trekking again. However, will end our night will dinner at tea house take rest to have some fun and remaining trek we will start it again tomorrow after breakfast.

        Day 4: Pokhara to Tikhedhunga (1,540m) Via Nayapool by Drive
        Our Trip will start driving to Nayapul. After this almost 1.5 hours of the ride, your trekking journey begins from Nayapul, you will pass through Birethanti which is the perfect vantage point to capture the beautiful lush green forests and landscapes. Overnight at Tikhedhunga.

        Day 5: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2,860m)
        Today our trek starts to climb the stone-paved steep stairs to Ulleri village (2,070m). You will enjoy the spectacular view of Mount Machhapuchhre (Mt Fishtail, 6,997m), Gandharva Chuli (6,248m), Himchuli (6,441m), and Annapurna South (7,219m), on the southern course to Ghorepani. While climbing to Banthanti we will explore the Magar Village along the way. You will cross many Oak forests and rhododendron to get to Ghorepani. Overnight at Ghorepani.

        Day 6: Ghorepani to Tadapani (2,630m) Via Poon Hill (3,110m)
        Today we will start taking an uphill climb towards the top of Poonhill to witness a glorious sunrise over the Himalayan ranges. On the way, you will get a glimpse of Mt. Annapurna I (8,091m), Tukuche Peak (6,920m), Varaha Shikhar, Annapurna IV (7,525m), Annapurna II (7,937m), Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Machhapuchhare (6,993m), and Lamjung Himal (6,931m). Overnight at Tadapani.

        Day 7: Tadapani to Sinuwa (2,360m)
        After spending the most memorable time at Annapurna base camp, we will on this day trek to Sinuwa Danda lying at 2,340m. On this trek, we will be witnessing the breathtaking views and pass the wooded area with rhododendron and bamboo trees named Bamboo. We will explore the Chhomrong town where the Nepalese Gurung community resides. Overnight at Sinuwa.

        Day 8: Sinuwa to Deurali (3,230m)
        The trek starts with a walk over the gentle uphill and downhill trail from Sinuwa, through different settlements and steep stone staircase along crossing a suspension bridge and numerous pleasing rhododendron and oak forests offer Dovan. We then head steep uphill towards Himalaya and Hinku cave takes to Deurali. Overnight at Deurali.

        Day 9: Deurali to ABC (4,130m) Via MBC (3,700m)
        The trek starts climbing through upward trail takes us to Bagar, and strenuous hike leads towards the base camp of Machhapuchhara (3,700m). After observing the stunning view of mount Machhapuchhara with other Numerous towering peaks around. After a few hours, you will reach ABC, where you will be surrounded by mountains all around all the vegetation covered with glistening mist and Snow so, pick a spot at the edge of the Annapurna glacier and get lost into the view which is just breathtaking.         Day 10: ABC to Bamboo (2,310m)
        Today trek is the longest day of the trek on this alpine terrain with rocky mountains MBC, Deaurali, Himalayan, and Dovan and also cross numerous of a waterfall, temple, caves, and forest holding Bamboo, oak, and rhododendron tree. Overnight at Bamboo.

        Day 11: Bamboo to Jhinu hot spring (1,565m)
        Today we will be hiking up to Khuldighar or where ACAP office and visitor center is located along moving forward by passing Sinuwa. On this Chhomorong River to enter beautiful Gurung settlement. We will follow steep down to Jhinu Danda for relaxing your tired muscles by taking a dip in hot spring.

        Day 12: Jhinu Hot spring to Pokhara (900m) via Nayapool
        Today is our last trekking day. We are following the new trail from Jhinu Danda (hot spring) to Nayapool. We follow the Modi river through the rice field to Nayapool. The trail is a little bit slippery from Jhinu Danda to Nayapool after Nayapool drive to Pokhara. Overnight at Pokhara.

        Day 13: Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,350m)
        On this day we have our breakfast by 6:00 a.m. in the morning and head towards the tourist Bus Park and board a tourist bus back to Kathmandu. The bus ride will take around 7 hours through curvy roads of hilly terrain with a couple of breaks in between for snacks and lunch. There will be a farewell dinner (Nepali Food) to celebrate the successful completion of our journey. Overnight in Kathmandu.

        Day 14: Final departure
        Your wonderful adventure in Nepal comes to an end today. We wish you all the best. A representative from Aarohi Holiday Pvt Ltd will take you to the airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight.
