Bardia National park is a unique jungle safari because of the tiger’s inhabitant. It is situated in the mid far western Terai region of Nepal cover approximately 1000sq km of area. It is 585 km away from Kathmandu. The Bardia National park headquarters are situated at Thakurdwara and which is surrounding by idyllic villages and fields inhabited by an indigenous ethnic group, the Tharu. The park is the mixture of dry forest with lots of cotton and silk trees, open grassland and island –filled rivers. This National park had become a conservation area in 1976. The park is also home to many different animals and more than 250 species of birds. The Bardia National park is full of creatures live fish, eagle, crested serpent eagle, goshawk and animals like tiger wild elephant, blackbuck and many more. The known river Karnali which lies in the western border is home to the rare marsh mugger, crocodile, the genetic dolphin, and the masher game fish.

Bardia National Park is an important wildlife conservation area that suffers from rustling. On the other hand, Bardia national park has had achievement in growing animal populations naturally.

Day 1  Arrive at the lodge

Arrive at the lodge where you will be offered refreshments and receive a briefing about lodge facilities and the program for the day. Tour a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you’ll learn about the lifestyle and culture of the Tharus.

Day 2  Jeep ride or back safari and jungle walk

After breakfast, you’ll explore the park on a jeep ride. You’ll also take in the visitor center, the crocodile breeding center, and the Tharu cultural museum. After lunch, you’ll go on a jungle walk, which is an excellent opportunity to see wild animals, small mammals, and birds in the company of an experienced naturalist and wildlife tracker.

Day 3  Tiger tracking and bird watching

This morning’s activities include tiger tracking and bird watching. You’ll be on the lookout for the Royal Bengal tiger as well as the enormous varieties of birds found in Bardia. After lunch, you head out on a jeep drive through the park and are likely to encounter many other smaller mammals that have made the park their home.

Day 4  River dolphin viewing

You’ll head to the Karnali River after breakfast in search of dolphins. After lunch, you’ll leave the park for your onward destination.
