About the Trek

Bardia National Park Safari is a unique jungle safari experience renowned for its tiger population. Located in the mid-far western Terai region of Nepal, Bardia National Park covers approximately 1,000 square kilometers and is situated 585 km from Kathmandu. The park headquarters are based in Thakurdwara, surrounded by picturesque villages and fields inhabited by the indigenous Tharu people.

The park's diverse landscape includes dry forests with cotton and silk trees, open grasslands, and riverine islands. Established as a conservation area in 1976, Bardia National Park is home to a wide range of wildlife, including over 250 bird species and numerous mammals. Notable inhabitants include the Bengal tiger, wild elephants, blackbucks, crested serpent eagles, goshawks, and various other species. The Karnali River, which forms the western border of the park, is a habitat for the rare marsh mugger crocodile, the Ganges river dolphin, and the masher fish.

Bardia National Park plays a crucial role in wildlife conservation and has seen significant success in naturally increasing animal populations. It is one of the best places in Nepal to observe tigers in their natural habitat. The safari experience in Bardia includes various modes of exploration: jeep safaris, canoe rides, elephant rides, and walking tours with experienced guides, each offering a unique perspective of the park's lush lowland grasslands and jungles.

Aarohi Holiday will ensure that your Bardia National Park Safari is an unforgettable adventure, filled with remarkable wildlife encounters and stunning natural beauty.
