Day 1  Arrive at the lodge

Arrive at the lodge where you will be offered refreshments and receive a briefing about lodge facilities and the program for the day. Tour a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you’ll learn about the lifestyle and culture of the Tharus.

Day 2  Jeep ride or back safari and jungle walk

After breakfast, you’ll explore the park on a jeep ride. You’ll also take in the visitor center, the crocodile breeding center, and the Tharu cultural museum. After lunch, you’ll go on a jungle walk, which is an excellent opportunity to see wild animals, small mammals, and birds in the company of an experienced naturalist and wildlife tracker.

Day 3  Tiger tracking and bird watching

This morning’s activities include tiger tracking and bird watching. You’ll be on the lookout for the Royal Bengal tiger as well as the enormous varieties of birds found in Bardia. After lunch, you head out on a jeep drive through the park and are likely to encounter many other smaller mammals that have made the park their home.

Day 4  River dolphin viewing

You’ll head to the Karnali River after breakfast in search of dolphins. After lunch, you’ll leave the park for your onward destination.
