Best Time for Manaslu Circuit Trek
The best seasons for the Manaslu Circuit Trek are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). These months offer stable weather, clear skies, and breathtaking Himalayan views. Spring delights trekkers with colorful wildflowers and blooming rhododendrons, while autumn brings crisp air and excellent visibility.
Winter (December to February) is colder with snow at higher altitudes, making for a quieter trek for those prepared for the chill. The monsoon season (June to August) is less favorable due to heavy rain and possible landslides. Whenever you choose to go, we’ll make sure your trek is safe, comfortable, and unforgettable.
Manaslu Circuit Trek Difficulties
The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a challenging adventure with daily hikes of 5 to 7 hours over steep climbs, rocky trails, and remote high-altitude terrain. The trek starts from lower villages around 700 meters and climbs gradually to the Larkya La Pass at 5,106 meters, the highest point on the route. At such elevations, the risk of altitude sickness increases, especially for those not properly acclimatized. That’s why our itinerary includes acclimatization days at important spots like Sama Gaun to help your body adjust safely.
You’ll be trekking through remote areas with limited lodges and basic facilities, which adds to the challenge but also the unique experience. The descent from Larkya La Pass is long but gradual, helping your body recover as you return to lower altitudes. With good fitness, preparation, and support from our experienced local guides, even first-time high-altitude trekkers can confidently complete this amazing journey.

If needed, our team will take immediate action, including rest, hydration, controlled descent, or emergency evacuation. Before your trek begins, you’ll receive a detailed safety briefing, and your guide will regularly check on your health throughout the journey. With these measures and our experienced team by your side, you can confidently enjoy your Himalayan adventure.
Travel Insurance for Manaslu Circuit Trek
At Aarohi Holiday, we strongly recommend that every trekker has comprehensive travel and medical insurance before starting the Manaslu Circuit Trek. This trek takes you through remote, high-altitude areas where medical help is limited and emergency support can be hard to reach. Your insurance should cover trekking up to at least 5,500 meters and include protection for personal injury, accidents, medical treatment, and emergency evacuation—especially helicopter rescue if needed.
We also advise getting coverage for trip cancellations, delays, lost or damaged luggage, and other unexpected issues. Having the right insurance means you can relax and fully enjoy your trek, knowing you’re protected if anything comes up. With this peace of mind, you can focus on the stunning scenery and rich culture of the Manaslu Circuit, while Aarohi Holiday takes care of the rest.
