Tibet

Tibet is a high-altitude region on the northern side of the Himalayas, often called the “Roof of the World” because much of it lies over 4,000 meters above sea level. It is known for its dramatic landscapes, from vast plateaus and snowcapped mountains to turquoise lakes and grasslands. Tibetan culture is deeply influenced by Buddhism, with monasteries, prayer flags, and traditional rituals playing a central role in daily life. Lhasa, the capital, is home to the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple, both important religious and cultural sites. Despite its rugged terrain, Tibet attracts visitors with its spiritual atmosphere, rich traditions, and breathtaking scenery.
