Amber Fort, located 11 km from Jaipur, was the ancient capital of Jaipur state. Construction of the fort began in 1592 by Raja Man Singh, the Rajput commander of Akbar’s army, and it is a superb example of Rajput architecture. In the afternoon, take a city tour of Jaipur. Visit the City Palace, which houses a museum with an extensive collection of art, carpets, enamelware, and weapons; Jantar Mantar, the observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh in 1728; and the façade of Hawa Mahal. Early morning, visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise. The Taj Mahal, a modern-day architectural wonder, is an incomparable monument. Built in 1653 by Emperor Shah Jahan, it is a fine example of the fusion of many architectural styles and is one of the wonders of the modern world. The Taj Mahal, often called a poem in white marble, took 20 years to build by 20,000 skilled artisans who inlaid the white marble edifice with precious and semi-precious stones. After sightseeing, enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch at a classic hotel. The tour continues with a visit to the Agra Fort, where you can get a moving view of the Taj from the little octagonal tower in the Agra Fort, which lies across the river Jamuna. It was here that Aurangzeb, the third son of Shah Jahan, kept his father under house arrest, from where the Emperor spent the last years of his life gazing at the tomb of his beloved. After lunch, depart for Delhi by road. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay in the hotel.

The best time to enjoy the Incredible India Journey is from October to March. During these months, the weather is cooler and more pleasant, making it ideal for sightseeing and exploring historic monuments in Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra. The clear skies and mild temperatures also make travel more comfortable.

It is best to avoid the peak summer months of April to June when temperatures can rise sharply, especially in Rajasthan and northern India.
