Bungee Jump Overview

Bungee Jumping in Nepal is home to one of the top 10 bungee jumps in the world. The bungee jumping site is located near the Nepal-Tibet border, overlooking the roaring Bhote Kosi River. This remarkable bungee jump features a 500 ft (160 m) drop into the Bhoti River gorge in Nepal.

The bungee jumping spot is accessible via a drive of about 3 hours and 100 km northeast, just 12 km from the Tibet border and the famous Friendship Bridge.

The Swiss-designed bridge used for the bungee jump was specially constructed with a 4X safety factor in mind and has a loading capacity of 250 kg per running meter. This means the bridge can support a load of 250×166=41,500 kg or 4.5 tons. Over 6,000 meters of steel wire were used to build the longest bridge in Nepal, which spans an impressive valley and connects two sides.
