Rajasthan Cycling Adventure is a well-worth moderate-level cycling trip through Rajasthan, the land of Maharajas. It is one of the most popular cycling trips in India. In this trip, visit magnificent monuments like the Taj Mahal, spot tigers in Ranthambore National Park, and as you ride through rural Rajasthan lanes, visit unique villages, exchange smiles with curious kids and women in colourful saris and experience local culture.

The trip begins in Delhi. Spend a day sightseeing in both Old and New Delhi. The itinerary includes popular monuments like Jama Masjid, India Gate, Lotus Temple among others. Then, on the way to Bharatpur, stop at Agra and visit the stunning Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world. Cycling starts in Bharatpur. Visit Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, one of the best bird-watching spots in the world. From there, ride to Karauli and take a loop ride around Kaila Devi National Park. Then have a very exciting time at Ranthambore National Park. Take a game drive into the national park, which is the best place to watch tigers in Rajasthan. From there, ride to Jaipur, the Pink City. Visit magnificent Amer Fort, City Palace and Palace of Winds. And then, take a drive back to Delhi.

  • Day 01– Arrive in Delhi. Overnight at a Hotel.

  • Day 02– Guided sightseeing in Delhi. Overnight at a Hotel.

  • Day 03- Drive to Bharatpur with Stop at Agra (5 Hours). Overnight at a Hotel.

  • Day 04– Cycling Begins; Visit Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary and Ride to Deeg (60-70 KM Ride). Overnight at a Hotel.

  • Day 05– Ride to Karauli (110 KM). Overnight at a Hotel.

  • Day 06– Ride in and around Karauli (40-50 KM). Overnight at a Hotel.

  • Day 07– Ride to Ranthambore National Park (110 KM). Overnight at a Hotel.

  • Day 08– Jeep Safari in Ranthambore National Park and Afternoon Cycling (30-40 KM). Overnight at a Hotel.

  • Day 09– Another Game Drive in Ranthambore National Park and Ride to Jaipur (160 KM). Overnight at a Hotel.

  • Day 10– Guided Sightseeing in Jaipur. Overnight at a Hotel.

  • Day 11– Drive to Delhi (5 Hours). Overnight at a Hotel.

  • Day 12– Flight Departure.


    TRIP DETAILS

  • Day 1 – Arrival in Delhi

    Our airport representative will receive you at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi. S/he will be displaying an Aarohi Holiday signboard outside the airport terminal. You will be then transferred to the hotel in a tourist vehicle.

    If you arrive before 4 pm, there will be pre-trip meeting in the hotel. You will be briefed about your trip. Ask questions if you have any. And if you arrive after 4 pm, the meeting will be held the next day.

  • Day 2 – Guided Sightseeing in Delhi

    Have breakfast. And then your sightseeing tour will begin. Your guide will take you to explore both Old and New Delhi.

    Start with a rickshaw ride in the bustling alleys of Chandni Chowk, one of the oldest markets of Old Delhi. It’s also a great place for shopping. After an enjoyable experience in Chandni Chowk, visit Jama Masjid. One of the largest mosques in India, it can hold 25,000 people. It was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan.

    When you are done exploring Old Delhi, it’s time for New Delhi. The sites you will tour are: India Gate, a war memorial built for the 82,000 Indian soldiers who died in World War I; Rastrapati Bhavan (Presidential Residence), the official home of the President of India; Lotus Temple, a flower-shaped Bahá’í temple made of pure white marble; and Qutub Minar (Minaret), the second tallest minar in India towering 240 feet.

  • Day 3 – Drive to Bharatpur with Stop at Agra (5 Hours)

    Early morning drive to Agra (approx 4 hours). Once you reach there, visit the Taj Mahal, the most extravagant monument ever built for love. This poignant Mughal mausoleum has become the de facto tourist emblem of India. Described by the Indian classical poet Tagore as “a teardrop on the face of eternity”, the Taj Mahal is undoubtedly the zenith of Moghul architecture.

    Then continue the drive to Bharatpur which takes about 1 hour from Agra.

  • Day 4 – Cycling Begins; Visit Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary and Ride to Deeg (60-70 KM Ride)

    Early in the morning, cycling starts; visit Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary on cycle. Now known as Keoladeo National Park, it is one of the best bird areas in the world. In this former duck-hunting reserve of the Maharajas (Great Kings), about 364 species of birds have been recorded. Every year, the World Heritage Site attracts scores of birdwatchers. Move back to the hotel and have breakfast. Then, cycle to Deeg and return. A cycling guide and support staff will accompany you. Deeg is an ancient town popular for its gardens, palaces, fountains and forts.

  • Day 5 – Ride to Karauli (110 KM)

    After breakfast, begin the day’s ride to Karauli. Ride slowly and enjoyably on the trails. After covering the distance of 110 km, arrive at Karauli. According to legends, the town was established in about 995 AD by Raja Bijai Pal, who is believed to be the 88th descendent of Lord Krishna, one of the major Hindu gods.

  • Day 6 – Ride in and around Karauli (40-50 KM)

    Take a loop ride around Kaila Devi National Park. The park is a buffer zone to Ranthambore National Park and is a part of Project Tiger which is a tiger conservation program launched in 1973. The park is known for “khos” meaning deep gorges breaking the ground. Picnic lunch will be organized in the afternoon. Return to Karuali and explore the 600-year-old City Palace in the evening.

  • Day 7 – Ride to Ranthambore National Park (110 KM)

    Cover the distance of 110 km and reach Ranthambore National Park. Previously a hunting reserve for the Maharajas, the park is the best place to watch tigers in Rajasthan.

  • Day 8 – Jeep Safari in Ranthambore National Park and Afternoon Cycling (30-40 KM)

    Drive to Jodhpur (approx 5 hrs). Set out on a jeep safari to the national park early in the morning to catch sights of the tigers. You will be able to watch other wildlife including birds. The park has more than 300 species of birds. The safari lasts for 3 to 4 hours. In the afternoon, spend your time exploring around the reserve forest.

  • Day 9 – Another Game Drive in Ranthambore National Park and Ride to Jaipur (160 KM)

    Today too, early in the morning, take another jeep safari to the national park. Return to the hotel and start cycling to the Pink City Jaipur. After covering 160 km of distance, arrive at the city. This is the last day of cycling.

  • Day 10 – Guided Sightseeing in Jaipur

    Visit Amer Fort built in the 17th Century. The palace is a distinguished specimen of Rajput architecture. Take a jeep ride at Amer Fort. Set in a picturesque location, Amer is fascinating blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture. Built in the 16th century by Raja Man Singh, it sprawls on the hillside. Explore the Pink City Palace which now houses a museum containing rare manuscripts, paintings and armories. Visit the Palace of Winds, a landmark of Jaipur made of pink sandstone and of unique design.

    Evening is free for your own activities.

  • Day 11 – Drive to Delhi (5 Hours)

    After breakfast, take a drive to Delhi from Jaipur. Rest of the day is free at leisure.

  • Day 12 - Flight Departure

    The trip ends today. Our airport representative will drop you off at the Delhi airport for your flight departure to home.
