Trip Information

The stunning 35-minute flight between Kathmandu and Lukla takes us to the gateway of the Everest region. We explore the abundance of diverse flora and fauna in the surrounding of Lukla and Namche. The Tengboche Monastery gives visitors an up-close view of the incredibly ornate wall hangings, a 20-foot sculpture of Buddha, and the musical instruments and robes of the Lamas. In addition, the group will be taken to observe prayer ceremonies. Traverse the friendly Sherpa villages and Buddhist monasteries, the plain of Gorakshep and the broad summit of Mt. Kalapatthar, the most accessible point from which to view Mt. Everest from the base. The views from Kalapatthar include a 360-degree panorama of the surrounding mountain peaks. Revel in the spectacular views of Mt. Everest – the roof of the world – as well as other mighty Himalayan summits like Lhotse, Nutpse, Amadablam, and Thamsherku to name a few, while walking on the Khumbu Glacier.   • Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu Airport (1,400 m/ 4593 ft). Overnight at Five -Star Hotel.

  • Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2,804 m/9,199 ft) & Trek to Manjo (2,825 m/9,268 ft) – 3.5 Hours. Overnight at Luxury Lodge.

  • Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazar (3,840 m/12,598 ft) – 5 Hours. Overnight at Luxury Lodge.

  • Day 04: Namche Bazar Acclimatization Day. Overnight at Luxury Lodge.

  • Day 05: Trek to Pangboche (3,930 m/12,893 ft) – 6 Hours. Overnight at Luxury Lodge.

  • Day 06: Trek to Dingboche (4,350 m/14,271 ft) – 6 Hours. Overnight at the Best Available Lodge.

  • Day 07: Trek to Chhukung (4,710 m/15,452 ft) & Trek Back to Dingboche – 4.5 Hours. Overnight at the Best Available Lodge.

  • Day 08: Trek to Lobuche (4,910 m/16,108 ft) – 5 Hours. Overnight at the Best Available Lodge.

  • Day 09: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,365 m/17,601 ft) & Back to Gorak Shep (5,180 m/16,994 ft.) – 8 Hours. Overnight at the Best Available Lodge.

  • Day 10: Hike Up to Kalapatthar (5,555 m/18,225 ft) Early in the Morning & Trek Down to Pheriche – 7 Hours. Overnight at the Best Available Lodge.

  • Day 11: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,840 m/12,598 ft) – 7 Hours. Overnight at Luxury Lodge.

  • Day 12: Trek to Lukla (2,804 m/9,199 ft) – 6 Hours. Overnight at Luxury Lodge.

  • Day 13: Flight Back to Kathmandu and Farewell Dinner. Overnight at Five-Star Hotel.

  • Day 14: Transfer to the Airport for Flight Departure


    TRIP DETAILS

  • Day 01- Arrival in Kathmandu Airport (1,400 m/ 4593 ft)

    Our airport representative will be receiving you at Tribhuvan International airport, Kathmandu and s/he will be displaying an Aarohi Holiday signboard outside the airport terminal. You will be then transferred to your respective hotel in our private tourist vehicle.

    Note: If you arrive after 4 pm you would be briefed by our airport representative/guide about the trek on the way to hotel. But if you arrive earlier than 4 pm, we will host a pre-trek meeting in our office and introduce you to your trekking guide. Please seek this opportunity to ask questions about your trek. We will also supply you with our trek duffel bag and cap. For the meeting, please make sure you bring your passport, three copies of passport-size photos and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy. During this meeting, please clear the due balance if any, and sign the legally binding trip form as well as the non-liability disclaimer.

  • Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2,804 m/9,199 ft) & Trek to Manjo (2,825 m/9,268 ft) - 3.5 Hours

    An early morning start takes us to Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu for the 35-minute scenic flight to Tenzing and Hillary Airport at Lukla at 2,804 m/9,199 ft. On arrival at the airport guide will brief you and introduce our porters before our trek begins towards Manjo (2,835 m/9,268 ft.)

    After landing we have time to explore the village while our Sherpa crew sort and load our trekking equipment. Then we begin our trek by descending towards the Dudh Kosi River where we join the main trail to Namche Bazaar, located just above Chaunrikharka (2,713 m/8,900 ft). The walking is easy. After passing through the small village of Ghat (2,550 m/8,366 ft), it is a short walk to Phakding and then to Manjo.

  • Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazar (3,840 m/12,598 ft) - 5 Hours

    We continue trekking along the banks of the Dudh Kosi, crossing this majestic river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. After entering Sagamartha National Park, the trail climbs steeply with breathtaking views. Namche Bazaar known as the Gateway to Everest which is home to many quality restaurants, hotels, lodges, shops, money exchange, internet cafe and a bakery. Namche is one of the biggest villages along the whole Everest trail.

  • Day 04: Namche Bazar Acclimatization Day

    We will spend a day here in order to acclimatize and adjust to the thinning of the air pressure. In a short trek in and around Namche Bazar, we can see rewarding views of the Himalayas with a stunning sunrise and sunset over the panorama of Khumbu peaks.

  • Day 05: Trek to Pangboche (3,930 m/12,893 ft) - 7 Hours

    The trek continues along the rushing glacial waters of the Dudh Kosi with magnificent views of the mountains. We trek to an altitude of 3,930m / 12,893ft today. On reaching Tengboche you will see the local monastery. Inside the monastery are incredibly ornate wall hangings, a 20-foot sculpture of Buddha, and the musical instruments and robes of the Lamas. From Tengboche the trail drops to Debuche, crosses another exciting suspension bridge on the Imja Khola, and climbs to Pangboche village.

  • Day 06: Trek to Dingboche (4,350 m/14,271 ft) - 6 Hours

    Our uphill trek continues, taking us to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with its exquisite views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. We take our time so we avoid getting affected by the altitude.

  • Day 07: Trek to Chhukung (4,710 m/15,452 ft) & Trek Back to Dingboche - 4.5 Hours

    On this day you can enjoy another day for acclimatization. We will have trip to Chhukung valley via the Imja Khola valley to get a marvellous view of the surrounding mountains, especially Lhotse’s massive south wall, then return to Dingboche in the evening.

  • Day 08: Trek to Lobuche (4,910 m/16,108 ft) - 5 Hours

    Today, the trail continues along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and passes by stone memorials for climbers who have perished on nearby summits.We continue to climb as we are heading to the altitude of 4,910m / 16,018ft at Lobuche, which is really just a few huts at the foot of giant Lobuche peak. Some breathing problems may arise today due to the altitude.

    Note: None of the lodges in this village has attached-bathroom facility. We will keep you at the best available lodge.

  • Day 09: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,365 m/17,601 ft) & Back to Gorak Shep (5,180 m/16,994 ft.) - 8 Hours

    This is the big and difficult day walk along the Khumbu Glacier and up to Everest Base Camp at 5365m / 17,601ft. , the closest you can get to Mt. Everest without mountaineering equipment. The view of the Khumbu Icefall from Base Camp is spectacular. We return back to Gorak shep for the night.

  • Day 10: Hike Up to Kalapatthar (5,555 m/18,225 ft) Early in the Morning & Trek Down to Pheriche - 7 Hours

    This will be another big and rewarding day of the trek. Most of morning in this day is spent climbing Mt. Kalapatthar, a small peak (by Himalayan standards) at 5555m / 18,225ft. The ascent is demanding but the climber gets the most magnificent mountain panorama: Everest, the highest point on the planet at 29,028ft, 8848meters, towers directly ahead and on all sides loom the other giants, Nuptse, Pumori, Chagatse, Lhotse and countless others. We make a quick descent to Gorak Shep, a tiny hamlet at 5180 meters then trek down to Pangboche village.

  • Day 11: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,840 m/12,598 ft) - 7 Hours

    From Pangboche, leaving mountains behind us our descent takes us through Tengboche Monastery at elevation of 3,860m / 12,664 ft before continuing back to the town of Namche Bazaar at 3441m / 11,289ft. We arrive back into Namche Bazaar in the afternoon.

  • Day 12: Trek to Lukla (2,804 m/9,199 ft) - 6 Hours

    Finally we return to Lukla where the trek began, which will seem like a lifetime ago. Enjoying time to reflect on the trek as a group and the personal achievement of all those who took part. Also giving you time to explore the town.

  • Day 13: Flight Back to Kathmandu and Farewell Dinner

    Enjoying your last glimpse of the mountains you have recently visited for one last time on the 35 minute scenic flight back to Kathmandu. On arrival in Kathmandu you are transferred back to our starting hotel.

    If you are looking to extend the trip, you have options such as Chitwan Jungle Safari, River Rafting Adventure, and so on. Please consult with your guide or our office staff at Kathmandu.

    And, at the end of the day, we host a farewell dinner program at a Nepali restaurant where you can see some cultural performance. Your trekking guide will accompany you. Overnight at a five-star hotel.

  • Day 14: Transfer to the Airport for Flight Departure

    The trip concludes – our airport representative will drop you to Kathmandu’s Tribhuwan International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal.

Similarly, Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 90 days can be obtained by paying US $ 100. Please bring 2 copies of passport size photos).
